Beppu is famous for Onsen or hot springs.  Kannawa Onsen is one of them and there is a theater, Young Center in the center of the town of Kannawa Onsen. 
All members of the company spent hard days because they performed different plays every stage and some members became sick.  When I visited on Tuesday and Wednesday, hanagata or superstar Dia had a cold and his temperature became over 39 degrees.  I hope he gets over as soon as possible.
The theater prohibited from taking pictures.  However I got permission to take pictures without any flash.  Because of this reason,  all photoes were not well.  I picked up some of them.

Dia's condition was bad, but his shamisen performance was really excellent and his technique was improved.
