The last show of today was titled "Sakura Ondo".  It was the first time for me to see the new version.  It was well constructed and harmonized with dance and music.  After the show an encore was requested, the members danced another program.  They received a standing ovation.

"Sukeroku" is one of the famous Kabuki programs.  The formal title is "Sukeroku Yukari-no Edo-Zakura".  It literally means "cherry blossoms in Edo (Tokyo) associated with Sukeroku".  Although "Sukeroku" is a drama of revenge, luxurious costumes of Sukeroku and his lover Agemaki  and exaggerated actions hold the audience spellbound.
