The biggest earthquake and tunami attacked Tohoku area or the northern part of Japan on March 11.  A number of people passed away with many animals such as dogs, cats, cows and others.  Because of this calamity, we Japanese now share hardships with the victims.  I also start voranteer-work with my friends who are from Tohoku area. I am very sorry I can not report the company's real stage for a while.  However, I renew the English HP every month.

The company with other members of Noboru-kai will hold a special charity show at Benten-za, Nara, on April 14th.

Tatsumi Engeki Box moves to Meisei-za in Osaka. Even if in the same city, all staff members must pack all things such as kimono, sandals, wigs, life goods and so on.  According to Tatsumi's blog, they have already carried everything and finished moving.
By the way, I visited Suzunari-za last week.  However I had no power to report here.  After coming back from Osaka I caught a heavy cold and it took a long time to get over.  Right now I prepare to update English homepage.

I have been to Okayama on the Sinkansen.  But I took the long distance night bus this time, because I wanted to try a different way.  It took about nine (9) hours from Yokohama (I worked in Yokoyama so I took the bus after working.)  to Okayama station.  Every two (2) hours the bus stopped at service stations.  The night bus was going pretty well.  Arriving at Yamako where was my final distination, I took a bath.  Yamako was a spa resort with a theater for Taishu Engeki (popular theater), a ballroom (dance hall), a restaurant and accomodations.
My two-day-trip made me fun.  I returned to Tokyo by air.  There was a special bus to Okayama airport from Okayama station.  It took about thirty minutes (30 min.).  My flight departed 19:40 was full of passengers and they were mostly office workers.  In these days, some flights are a little cheeper than that of Shinkansen and of course faster.

Tatsumi Engeki Box is now on stage at Yamako in Okayama located in the western part of Japan.  I will visit there next week.  From Tokyo to Okayama, I will use a high way bus.   It takes about 10 hours or more.  However I will return to Tokyo by air.  It takes only 1 hour.  My tour will make me fun. I will report after coming back to Tokyo.  See you next weekend.

In Taishu Engeki companies eccentric motifs such as skeltons or crosses are populer.

After visiting Tatsumi Engeki Box at the theater, you can enjoy this illuminated five-storied pagoda.
Also other structures such as gates and huge red paper lanterns are illuminated.
