I am very sorry that I did not update of this blog.
Since I belonged to a talent promotion office as an actress, I have had few time to handle this website.  I will do my best as much as possibe when I have the Tatsumi's performance held at theaters in Tokyo area.

The first performance was held on August 1.  As you know, there was the worst earthquake in Tohoku area,or the northeastern part of Japan on March 11.  I have spent busy days to send supporting goods to the stricken area and I have never visited the company for about 4 months.  I am really happy to see them.

The biggest earthquake and tunami attacked Tohoku area or the northern part of Japan on March 11.  A number of people passed away with many animals such as dogs, cats, cows and others.  Because of this calamity, we Japanese now share hardships with the victims.  I also start voranteer-work with my friends who are from Tohoku area. I am very sorry I can not report the company's real stage for a while.  However, I renew the English HP every month.

The company with other members of Noboru-kai will hold a special charity show at Benten-za, Nara, on April 14th.

Beppu is famous for Onsen or hot springs.  Kannawa Onsen is one of them and there is a theater, Young Center in the center of the town of Kannawa Onsen. 
All members of the company spent hard days because they performed different plays every stage and some members became sick.  When I visited on Tuesday and Wednesday, hanagata or superstar Dia had a cold and his temperature became over 39 degrees.  I hope he gets over as soon as possible.
The theater prohibited from taking pictures.  However I got permission to take pictures without any flash.  Because of this reason,  all photoes were not well.  I picked up some of them.

Dia's condition was bad, but his shamisen performance was really excellent and his technique was improved.

The last play at Miyoshi-engeijo, Yokohama was titled "Date-no Shinzo" or the great leader named Shinzo from Date (old place name located at the northern part of Japan).  Tatsumi played Shinzo role.  Shinzo was a farmer and he lost his wife because of a trouble with a bad local leader.  He left for the capital city Edo (Tokyo now)  to be a strong man and he wanted to revenge his wife's death.  The story was not comical.  However, the conversational give-and-take between a farmer Tatsumi and others on stage was really fany.  The audience enjoyed the last play.

The last show was titled "Regent (hair) Blues".
There are many motorcycle gangs or gangs of hot-rodders in Japan.  Normally they are teenager and they enjoy gethering and touring.  Each group members put on the same uniform !? & hiar styles to appear their originality.  Tatsumi's regent was like a rock'n roller.
There were three encores and we, actor, actress and audience enjoyed the energetic and powerful night.

Sunday's play was titled "Oyako-tabi" or Travel of mother & son.  The story was miserable.  Ryuko played a mother role and her performance was so excellent.

The last show was titled "Bambino".  The performance was so powerful and it made audience excited.

Today's play was titled "Tamamura Rokuzo" who was a subordinate of Chuji KUNISADA.  Chuji KUNISADA was a famous influential leader in the Edo period.  He was a generous robber a Robbin Hood character.  Rokuzo role was played by Tatsumi and he helped his boss Chuji.  However, he betrayed his wife and elder brother-in-law on the other hand.

The last show was Japanese drum performance.
Drummers were Tatsumi & Dia.

Sunday's play was titled "Shin Yataro Gasa".   I had a glimpse of the spirit of an old fashioned Japanese guy.  It is difficult for foreign people to understand that "harakiri" was the way of taking responsibility.

I, Navigator Cathy, will have a dance performance in the early of December.  I have to have a lot of lessons with my students.  Because of this reason I can not go to the theater for about 1 week.  I am very sorry I can not update my blog.
